Submissions
Thank you for your interest in Unbound. We are accepting submissions now through January 31, 2026 for our annual spring issue, though we accept critical essays and book reviews for our blog during the academic year (September 1-April 10). To submit your work for publication, please review the rules and guidelines before submitting the google form linked below. Any questions can be emailed to unboundliterarymagazine@gmail.com.
Rules & Guidelines
-All submitted files should be free of names, contact information, or other personal information (excepting the optional artist statement)
-If you are wishing to submit multiple pieces for consideration, please fill out the form separately for each piece you are submitting. Poetry collections may be placed under one submission.
-Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but please inform us if your piece has been accepted elsewhere.
-While there is no minimum or maximum length for submissions, please note that short submissions should still convey a complete idea or story and long submissions will have to work harder to find a place in our magazine.
-Stories that deal with dark or serious topics are welcome, but gratuitous violence, disturbing imagery, or vulgarity will be rejected.
-Any submissions utilizing generative AI will be rejected.
ARTISTS
It is our goal at Unbound to publish an illustrated magazine. Please contact us if you would like to illustrate one or multiple pieces for the magazine.
